How we got here and who's involved.
The nerdy stuff
This website was developed by young people for young people and guided by research conducted at RMIT University. We looked into the issues young adults faced when it came to money and love, and found—it’s complicated.
Plus a little light reading
If this site's got you hungry for more, there's plenty of work out there on money and relationships.
To start with, there's this article in The Conversation about how economic abuse is a hidden problem in relationships.
If you're up to dig into more scientific articles, you can read more about the prevalence of financial or economic abuse here, or about what young people talking to service providers experienced here.
And finally, if you're super keen: this project was based on the PhD research conducted by Dr Jozica Kutin.
Project team & funding
You, Me & Money was developed by RMIT University School of Economics, Finance & Marketing and YLab. You, Me & Money was funded by the Ecstra Foundation. Web design and development by Today Design.
We put together a report for the Ecstra Foundation detailing the development of this website - its bright, colourful and full of pictures. Contact us for a copy.

I saw this research project, and I was like, "I've been through this and it would be amazing to talk to someone about money and love"
This research was the first time I've seen anything about relationships and money and stuff.
